Instead of every file landing in Downloads, it suggests organized folders based on where the file came from:

The important extra is source-link files.
Downloads by Site can save a small .webloc or .url source link next to the downloaded files, so you dont have to remember where every download came from. That is especially useful for Etsy research, image collecting, design references, PDFs, receipts, pattern files, and anything else that makes sense only when you know the page it came from.

A filename alone rarely tells you which listing, shop, repo, product page, or reference page it came from.
This extension keeps that context close by routing files into source-site folders and, when enabled, saving a source-link file alongside them.
It is a small workflow improvement,
but it removes a surprising amount of later guessing.
